Fists out for the girls.

Photobucket

This morning, in the mail, I received this gorgeous Cobblestone Ring from Sarah over at LuShae Jewellery - it's so perfectly cut, fits like a glove, and I can imagine it as a cocktail ring or just prettying up my day-to-day wear:

Sarah told me a bit about her label and what goes on to create such amazing pieces as this:

The Label:
Lushae is actually an Australian company (based out of Tasmania) but we manufacture and dispatch from California in the United States. We're owned and operated by myself and another Australian. We've been offering our line for a little over a year now and decided to get into jewellery because it satisfied our desire to work in something creative. We ship internationally and it's our intention to be introducing new and exciting lines every season. We want to focus on contemporary trends and artisitic style over expensive materials but won't compromise on workmanship.

The Philosophy:
To us jewelry isn't precious because it costs a fortune, it's precious because of the unique style and memories of special times it brings.

On Bloggers:
I think the blogging community/tweeters and other social hubs present an opportunity to new business unlike any that has ever existed before.. How would a small business reach millions of viewers via any other medium without risking huge amounts of captial? I get to gather infinitely valuable feedback about my business, reach out to the fashion savvy and spread the Lushae name... I don't think some bloggers realize how valuable their sites can become, but with that said this only applies to a very small group of bloggers. The blogs which have a unique voice bring something to the lives of their followers which I think is why they continue to build great readerships, I could never not want to work with one of these bloggers.

The Future:
In 5 years time Lushae will lead the industry in offering contemporary trends at prices affordable to everyone.. Boutique fashion should not be a luxury only the wealthy enjoy.. Maintaining a boutique, contemporary brand with entry level prices will certainly be a challenge but that is what gets me up in the morning.

Sarah is so passionate about her work and I have to say that LuShae has some of the most quirky-pretty pieces I've seen in a while.

Thank you so much to LuShae for the beautiful ring - I actually can't stop staring at it.

Check out more HERE.

P.S. Please pardon my bed head and freaky entanglement of arms :)

*love*
