Flipsters: Ben and Rick.

Who went out last night? ME. Who wore insanely tall heels? ME. Who has insanely sore feet? ME. Actually I lie - I didn't go out. But I still managed to get sore feet from wearing tall heels to a family dinner. I'm talented like that.

To the point, we all know when we:
  1. have a freakishly deformed clutch because we had to squish flats into it
  2. forget to squish flats into our clutch... then suffer walking freakishly long distances in heels that seemed a good idea at the time.

Would you look at that. Fireworks and everything.

Basically, Flipsters are the most genius flip flop you've ever seen - they're super comfortable, very pretty and they fold up into something skinny that would actually fit into your pocket.

I caught up with the geniuses behind it all - Ben Lipschitz and Rick Munitz:

The Flipsters' Vibe:
The Flipsters’ vibe is a celebration of comfort and style. It’s all about having fun, looking sexy, and not having to sacrifice your feet in the process! Our philosophy is to provide practical solutions for women that also look good, and which can be used all the time – whether it’s for a pedicure, a wedding, or at the club. The key to achieving all of this is in unique innovative design, and of course a little bit of stylish flair.

The 2010 Plan:
This is our first full year of operating, and were pumped up for a big 2010. This year will see Flipsters at a number of key Australian fashion events including Fashion Weekend. You’ll also find us in an ever-increasing number of retailers. We’ll be releasing a number of new colours this years, new designs, and it’s all going to be backed up with a great marketing campaign. Watch this space!

The Future:
We think Flipsters should be in every female’s handbag or clutch, so in 5 years we’d like to come closer to reaching that goal. The adaptability of the design means we also want to see Flipsters placed everywhere from Qantas jets to weddings and nightclubs. We’re also eyeing things globally, because we’d love to share this Australian inspired idea with the world. In 5 years we hope to have reached into several other countries around the world and have a large range of fantastic colours and designs. A few product placements and celebrity endorsements would also be great!

No more sore feet :D That's all that needs to be said.

Thank you guys for your time!

I'm also loving how a pair of GUYS thought of this before any girls did! Lol!

Wow, I definitely need a pair of those! I've never gotten into the habit of carrying around an extra pair of flats because I never have the space to - I usually just suffer the entire night in heels, haha.

Love flip flops and it really sucks when you have been wearing tall pretty heels all night and have to be hobbling out of the club by the end of the night!

i used to have a pair of flip-flop type things that I would fold in half and stuff in an over-sized purse just in case my feet started to hurt. then i just gave up and now i just wear boots instead haha.

and thank you for your comment :-) the blue blouse has to be one of my most favorite vintage finds of all time.

I would DEFINITELY use these! God knows, some occasions just call for extremely painful footwear, but who says you have to wear it to walk there???
