I was flicking through a magazine the other day with a friend and there was an ad for Opi matte nail laquer and I had never seen it before (because apart from clear varnish and the odd bright colour, I don't spend a huge amount of time obsessing over my nails).
But anyway - I did some research when I got home and not only are there some amazing shades of matte nail polish (I really like the idea of white matte nail polish), but also: there's SPARKLY matte nail polish... which is something like matte glitter, with the shine coming purely from the glitter. That was a shocking explanation but I'm sure you can see it from the photos.
I love that with these, it makes it so much more difficult for nail polish to look tacky. :)
