Merry wives of Windsor... Smith.

WINDSORSMITH

... words cannot express the degree to which I adore these Windsor Smith babies.

And how much of a strangely happy exhausted mood I'm in as I drag myself around in this beautifully balmy weather, getting ready for Law Ball tonight. Hopefully I'll snap some happy photos before I leave!

Think For Love & Lemons.

How was everybody's week? Mine was a whirlwind of exciting project initiations and reunions with wonderful people who have not appeared often enough given my inability to say no to blog-related propositions.

Having said this, bright shoes are my pick-me-up.

Hope it's yours too as you work your way into Friday evening!

Apologies for the nonsense post :)

P.S. Last day to vote for your favourite Voi Shop window if you care to pitch a vote my way! HERE.

Mama may have, Papa may have.

pöl Gelati Maxi Dress - ASOS Boyfriend Belt - Samantha Wills for McGrath Foundation Aaliyah Ring - MINKPINK First Day Pocket Backpack from Market HQ - ROC Wedges from Westfield.com.au - All about eve Sunglasses from Sunburn Swimwear

This dress is nothing short of a dream - some wonderfully enormous cloud of blue, without being at all heavy. Without my favourite belt and bag, I would have worn it to a ball no questions asked (such is the versatility of pöl).

I don't think I've ever worn a ring that's, at most, much larger than... say... a cherry tomato - and with reason (I've always found large rings so intimidating). Having said this, there really isn't anything not to love about this Samantha Wills ring - I will never get past the cracked marble effect. Better yet, all proceeds to the McGrath Foundation - sometimes I feel like the fashion industry is such a bubble, so it's always so lovely to see designers pass on their creativity to help those who need it! Make sure you check out the whole collection - such sweet pink goodness.

I know - I few more photos than usual... but really, the movement in the dress is far too good to keep to myself.

As for the Blackberry making an appearance, I quite honestly didn't realise I was holding it until I sat down to do this post. Crackberry.

P.S. Thank you all you Sydney-siders who entered my quick little ticket giveaway over the weekend! I just drew the winners - congratulations to:

Polly Mae Merriman and
Priscilla Hejtmanek

Looking forward to seeing you both there on Tuesday night!

To everyone else, never fear - more giveaways hovering on the horizon :)

Easy way out.

Photobucket Shine By Three Shine By Three

Vintage Blouse from Thread People - YesStyle.com Ankle Length Straight Fit Pants - Therapy Tower Pumps - MINKPINK Backpack from Market HQ

Posting this now before I get stuck into last minute microeconomics revisions and a lovely lunch with some of my favourite people at one of my favourite eateries. Then exam tonight! It never stops.

Anyway - my dear Jess snapped these of me and my get-up post-amazing-lunch after Alexa Chung's press conference a week or two ago (it's all a blur: for all I know it could have been a month ago!). I'd been wearing these brights so often separately that the only possible next step was to combine the two. I have to say I do appreciate the pink and green together, as much as my preschool teacher said that they didn't go. Who cares if I look like a watermelon. My backpack makes it cool.

Anyone who's seen enough of me in the past three weeks of my owning this backpack will know that I've been wearing it to death. I now no longer have lopsided shoulders from carrying stupidly heavy uni books in a shoulder bag.

P.S. if you happen to be in Sydney CBD over the next couple of days, go check out the store windows at Voi Shop (72 Castlereagh St) - four of us spent a solid couple of hours last night styling up a window each! Voting will go up on their facebook page very soon.

Oh Morrison.

Photobucket Photobucket

Morrison Tee - Morrison Pants - Polli Earrings

I never did get around to sharing what I wore to MBFF last week, so here we go. The lovely ladies of Morrison and egpr were so kind as to lend me some of my favourite pieces from the SS11/12 collection that walked at RAFW earlier this year. I absolutely adore these pants (and the incredible full maxi skirt in the same material from that collection) - the colour is so brilliantly reflective of every Summer in the world. That's the only way I can think of to describe it.

Before I left, I decided on adding my favourite Market HQ Paisley Cuff for gladiator-factor :) Here's a happy snap from just before the show that Miranda took for me:

Hope you've all been having a brilliant weekend! If you've been following my tweets, you will know that Nicole and I booked our flights to New York yesterday! January/February never seemed so close... Lots of exciting things in the works for then! Get excited!

P.S. I couldn't do another post without saying how wonderfully lucky I am to have such a sweet readership as yourselves! The number of emails I got after my stressed out post earlier this week can only be described as adorable - so much love to you all!

Bright and búl.

Photobucket

búl Button Maxi Dress - Dutzi Bag - Market HQ Cross Ring - Factorie x Australia's Next Top Model Filigree Ring - Polli Bear Necklace

I don't think any word or photo is ever going to express how happy it makes me that Summer is well and truly on the way. So what if the breeze gives me goosebumps from time to time? I'm going to carry on dressing like it's December and the weather will eventually catch up with me.

Given the brilliant quantity of sun today, I could hardly resist the brightly draped comfort of this búl dress. Because of the lighting, I'm not sure that these photos quite express the full impact of the dress' burnt orange, but be sure to keep an eye on their website for the full collection to pop up - I had the pleasure of rifling through a rack of them on Friday afternoon when visiting the ladies of Trish Nicol Ageny and I have to say, the pieces are very much the epitome of dreamy Summer dressing.

I really do use this bag a lot more than would be evident on the blog - it's the perfect size for pretty much everything, and the leather and stitching are far too perfect to stay inside. It's definitely one for the warmer weather though, so expect to see much more of it!

I know I tweeted so this morning, but I'll say it again: this necklace is the most adorable piece of jewellery I have ever had the pleasure of owning.

How have all our weekends been? Mine, unfortunately, hasn't been terribly productive - I have managed to catch up on some sleep, though, and gone on several wonderfully long runs in preparation for Blackmore's Sydney Running Festival (more on that later).

I also discovered that I'm moderately gluten intolerant (which would explain why I feel a bit ill after my daily sandwich) and so spent the most part of last night planning ridiculous salads for the rest of the week.

P.S. Don't forget that you have less than a week to be in the running for winning a $275 Sgt Sookie Wardrobe! Right HERE.

On Tuesday, I had the absolute pleasure of heading down to a beautiful Balinese Retreat just outside of Melbourne to snap-happy behind the scenes on location at Cotton On and Rubi Shoes' fantastic Summer campaign. To my delight, all my love for colour-blocking, colour-clashing and colour-popping are right on point in the newest collection.

Blogger doesn't like me too much, so I couldn't share all the photos I have - expect another very soon! I'm also currently working on a video for you all too - it really will feel like you're in Bali. I promise :)

In the mean time, make sure you have a poke around the online store - there will be some amazing things up very soon (I don't think I can express enough how impressed I am with so many of the pieces! Laura and the team certainly heard me... :D)

Thank you so much to Cotton On and the gorgeous team for having me down in Melbourne! It was so lovely to finally meet you all and to see everything come together so beautifully on the day :)

All tied up.

Miss Unkon Dress - Tie-Ups Teal Belt - Loveholics Audrey Vintage Bag in Red

Even my brother noticed the drop in frequency of my outfit posts over the past week or so... and he doesn't even understand what a blog is. But soft! What light through yonder end of my beloved laneway breaks! It is the East (not sure about that one) and Baz Luhrmann's Romeo & Juliet has been indefinitely paused on the fish tank scene on my laptop... one of the many reasons I need more hours in the day.

Having said this, I adore this Miss Unkon dress to no end. At some point I'll certainly have to do some detailed shots of the delightful cutouts and scalloped tiering, but on Monday (at 6am...), I felt inclined to shake life up with this brilliant piece of teal Tie-Ups (which is the best on-trend, pop-of-colour concept ever), and my new Loveholics bag that has not left my side for its instant-cheer factor in red.

Colour abuse?

I've got too much honey-lemon in my system to care!

P.S. I think '...pois for any clothing style' on the Tie-Ups homepage is the most adorable sentence of all time

P.P.S. This morning I had the pleasure of attending Alexa Chung's press call for while she's in Sydney - good times to be shared very soon.

Camilla's show on MBFF on Friday night was definitely a spectacle and an experience above and beyond the vibrant prints and colours that have always defined Camilla Franks' aesthetic. Not only was the versatility of the classic kaftan fantastic to see (definitely helped along by intricate embellishment), but the styling, make up and stunning headpieces really made the show doubly ethereal. That much movement in a piece of clothing would be such a delight to shoot.

Be sure to check out more of the Labyrinth collection right HERE.

I'm so excited to be heading to Melbourne in the morning - once again, I know! I'll be tweeting throughout the day so be sure to stay up to date :)
