Fashion Forward Festival: Wrap Up.

IMG_6944

My last round of photos of what I gather to be a hugely successful weekend. The designer exhibits were so intriguing - I quite literally did about 15 rounds of all three aisles, just to admire everything that many more times. The gorgeous girls above are Emma and Maryanne of Wonders Cease (you might remember my interview with them a while back) who won the major designer prize - so well deserved (their latest collection is stunning)! Check out some of their work HERE.

A huge congratulations to the FFA crew! It was fantastic meeting everyone, as well as co-hosts Erin McNaught and Didier Cohen. FFF is doing a loop around Australia, so get excited all those in Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth!

As before, you can click on the photos above to go to designers' websites. I'd also like to give a hug shoutout to Aaron Kay for making all of this possible!

Fashion Forward Festival: Runway.

CINNshe Jacinta Wilson

Runway! This was definitely the highlight of the night. As the lovely Miss Erin McNaught said, it's pretty hard to believe that so many of these designers are very new to the industry - the pieces were so well structured and thought through (so much so that I was inspired to start my own label... and then realised how impractical of me that would be :D).

All I can say is to watch these names. Very closely.

Click on the image to go to the designer's website if you love it :)

Fashion Forward Festival: Backstage.

IMG_6831

I'm going to try and post my photos from FFF in some kind of comprehensible order. So this is dedicated to backstage. Does loving standing in the middle of backstage chaos count as being an adrenaline junkie? The models and Chupa Chups Dancers were super fun and crazy, which (I'd say) is what made it all that much greater.

The first part of the runway show was all about red, in support of the AIDS Trust of Australia, and was pretty eye-popping and fresh in its own right. The second part was more futuristic with 3D glasses (I've decided I'm buying some for no reason at all), and a lot of architectural black. My next post will be some runway shots, so watch this space!

Fashion Forward Festival.

Hey beautiful people! Sorry I haven't posted in the past day. I just got back from the launch night of the Fashion Forward Festival (something I've been waiting for for months) and I cannot begin to tell you how amazing it was - so all you Sydney-siders, get down to Paddington Town Hall this weekend to check out some amazing up-and-coming designer talents.

I'm about to fall over from exhaustion, so I'll leave you all with some sneaky preview photos from tonight - it's a bit ridiculous how many more I have to share.

And a more-than-unflattering photo of what I wore:
