I don't think any word or photo is ever going to express how happy it makes me that Summer is well and truly on the way. So what if the breeze gives me goosebumps from time to time? I'm going to carry on dressing like it's December and the weather will eventually catch up with me.

Given the brilliant quantity of sun today, I could hardly resist the brightly draped comfort of this búl dress. Because of the lighting, I'm not sure that these photos quite express the full impact of the dress' burnt orange, but be sure to keep an eye on their website for the full collection to pop up - I had the pleasure of rifling through a rack of them on Friday afternoon when visiting the ladies of Trish Nicol Ageny and I have to say, the pieces are very much the epitome of dreamy Summer dressing.

I really do use this bag a lot more than would be evident on the blog - it's the perfect size for pretty much everything, and the leather and stitching are far too perfect to stay inside. It's definitely one for the warmer weather though, so expect to see much more of it!

I know I tweeted so this morning, but I'll say it again: this necklace is the most adorable piece of jewellery I have ever had the pleasure of owning.

How have all our weekends been? Mine, unfortunately, hasn't been terribly productive - I have managed to catch up on some sleep, though, and gone on several wonderfully long runs in preparation for Blackmore's Sydney Running Festival (more on that later).

I also discovered that I'm moderately gluten intolerant (which would explain why I feel a bit ill after my daily sandwich) and so spent the most part of last night planning ridiculous salads for the rest of the week.

Super Suede Bop. Bop. Bop.

May the Label Charlie Suede Tee Dress - Tony Bianco Dodge Boots in Ash Suede

I've done head-to-toe chiffon, head-to-toe jersey, and I haven't the guts to try head-to-toe leather. But head-to-toe suede was a new (and freaking awesome) discovery for me - helped along by the insane softness of this May Tee Dress. No really: once you get past beautiful structure and almost-airy comfort, the number one reason for living in this dress is definitely to stand in a corner and pat the ridiculously soft suede.

I don't know why I never thought to do that with my Bianco boots...

I mentioned a few posts ago that I'd met with the amazing Miss Karen Grajwer (from Shopbop.com) who sweetly invited some of us to chat over a beautiful Bondi view at Iceberg's - so this is what I wore. I swear the topknot wasn't to make me look older :)

Substitute Sun.

Living Doll Draped Tank - Somedays Lovin' Harems - Zoe Wittner Ursula Wedge - Dutzi Designs Hessian Clutch

To match my sleepy eyes, I took to hippie-land today. In all honesty, none of these pieces on their own would have screamed hippie in any sense, but put together (plus a slightly overcast sunset before dinner), I think I did a pretty good job of convincing quiet-restaurant-goers that I was one of those sun-chasing teens with a guitar and a field as a backyard. Actually that might not be so false after all :p

Just as the slouchy top is perfect, I am a bit obsessed with the loud and sunny print of these pants. Aside from making up for the failed sunset, the pockets and outrageous comfort definitely speak louder than the colour. Plus the tones are (mildly) in check with the hessian on the amazing clutch from the talented Ariane Dutzi (who was just featured in VOGUE Mexico! Congratulations, lady!) that makes lack-of-hurry that much easier.

As you can see, my beloved Wittner wedges are also on their last legs. Hugest sad face ever. Any suggestions for a replacement? As much as it breaks my heart.

Dutzi.

With Summer well on the way, I have been looking for a sizeable chill bag to cart around. I always did regret not buying a woven/leather/hippie bag in Costa Rica, and these gorgeous ones designed by Ariane Dutzi for her label, Dutzi, may well step up to the challenge. All of Ariane's bags are handmade by local artisans (mainly Mayan women in the Yucatan) from 90% recycled materials. So really, you can't lose with these bags - the hessian-leather-wide-stitching combination kills me to no end (vis-a-vie, that first one basically has me frothing at the mouth).
