Miss Unkon Dress - Tie-Ups Teal Belt - Loveholics Audrey Vintage Bag in Red

Even my brother noticed the drop in frequency of my outfit posts over the past week or so... and he doesn't even understand what a blog is. But soft! What light through yonder end of my beloved laneway breaks! It is the East (not sure about that one) and Baz Luhrmann's Romeo & Juliet has been indefinitely paused on the fish tank scene on my laptop... one of the many reasons I need more hours in the day.

Having said this, I adore this Miss Unkon dress to no end. At some point I'll certainly have to do some detailed shots of the delightful cutouts and scalloped tiering, but on Monday (at 6am...), I felt inclined to shake life up with this brilliant piece of teal Tie-Ups (which is the best on-trend, pop-of-colour concept ever), and my new Loveholics bag that has not left my side for its instant-cheer factor in red.

Colour abuse?

I've got too much honey-lemon in my system to care!

P.S. I think '...pois for any clothing style' on the Tie-Ups homepage is the most adorable sentence of all time

P.P.S. This morning I had the pleasure of attending Alexa Chung's press call for while she's in Sydney - good times to be shared very soon.

Mister Zimi Leather Jacket - Vintage Chiffon Skirt - Yves Saint Laurent Vibrant Brown Lipstick from YesStyle.com

In my haste to get through my uni week (so the exciting projects starting at the end will get here faster), I completely forgot to share snaps of what I wore to the FOREVER NEW Spring Launch last week. I don't think the leather-chiffon combination will ever fail me - neither will the fantastic colour of this Mister Zimi jacket and the eternal vibrancy of my favourite vintage skirt. I've said it 500 times and I'l make it 1000 - best spent $7 of my life. And thank you dear Jasmin for taking these for me!

How has everyone's week been so far? Not going to lie - I feel like my eyes are about to fall out (classy). Definitely skipping my usual morning run tomorrow!

Having said that, I have a lot of exciting things coming up to share with you all! Stay tuned here, on Facebook and on Twitter.

Polka Dotti.

ROMWE Polka Dot PantsDotti Sleeveless Shirt - Nu + Nan Boots - ASOS Boyfriend Belt - Vintage Clutch

Since receiving them from my wonderful friends at ROMWE, these pants have not left the end of my bed for the ridiculous frequency of my wearing them. Not only are they doubly flattering in length and high wait, but (as is rare in the case of such outlandish pants) are perfectly comfortable - and breezy enough to carry me all through Summer.

Yes this is the plan.

The black and white polka dots lend themselves pretty well to tan, khaki and leather for starters - I'd imagine colour-blocking would work a dream as well.

Time to experiment this weekend!

I've been holding out for Friday so much it's painful - something exciting to share tomorrow though! Think Lipsy London. And MYER.

Mister Zimi Leather Jacket - Vintage Leather Shorts - Costalots Matte Finish Sunnies - Therapy Shoes Laguna Wedges in Bone

First and foremost, I find it necessary to apologise for my disheveled and exhausted appearance - the semester so far has been every matter of overdrive and brain-functioning to the nth degree. Having said that, I finally got to wear my beloved shorts that I bought (not without drama...) when I was with Jess and Emma at Surry Hills markets. I'm definitely glad I got them though - such a wonderful colour that'll see me all the way through Spring, but keeps me warm for the time being while Sydney makes up its mind on thunderstorms. In the mean time, I'm happy to wear Summery shoes and matte finish sunnies.

On top of that, I couldn't resist doing a double-leather assault to the eyes with this fantastic Mister Zimi jacket. Somehow, the burnt tan colour does the teal leather the highest of justice.

Reading over this post now, I realise that I've been reading way too many torts cases...

Bed time for me!

House of Iluka.

Shop Calico Circle Sunnies - ELWOOD Leather Vest - BONDS Singlet Top - House of Iluka Skirt - Nu + Nan Boots - Market HQ Paisley Cuff

A lot of you have expressed significant appreciation for the print on the skirt I posted yesterday, so here it is! It is quite possible the closest I've come to gliding like one of those elegantly scary ghost holograms in the Haunted House at Disneyland - in a slightly more fun, marginally less Victorian (and creepy), but still infinitely graceful way. Or so I like to think.

On top of that, the almost-organic dying and Summery colours do the most wonderful job of breaking up my go-to leather vest and Nu + Nan boots (which have been married since the day they met, occasionally interrupted by this incredible Gladiator of a cuff).

Factorie for Australia's Next Top Model Tan Crop Jacket - Penny Anne Lace Slip over BONDS Singlet - ModCloth.com Portable Pocket Belt - Mister Zimi Maxi skirt - Bardot Boots - Just Gorgeous Gifts Melko Rose Leather Cuff

Margaret not in heels? What is this! To be fair I actually wear these Bardot boots so much more than has been evident - they have a wonderful wraparound strap and buttery soft leather that molds itself to your mood. Not lying.

The minute I pulled this Factorie x ANTM blazer out of the box, all I could think of was Woodstock, so hopefully that came through in this little ensemble. I'm very much a fan of the tan-navy colour combination. Almost as much as tan-burgundy, tan-turquoise and tan-red... Needless to say, this blazer is set to be worn to death for its colour as well as its surprising roominess and lightweight softness.

P.S. so glad you all liked my Castañer x The Fable Collective behind the scenes video! Judging by the emails, I'll have to do videos more often?

P.P.S. Another giveaway happening very soon :) bum-ba-dum-bum-dum

P.P.P.S. While we're at the postscripts, how about heading over to the Shine By Three Facebook Page :)

This is definitely a little overdue, but here we go! Most of you will remember that I ran into ACP between frantic uni movements to do a super fast shoot some time ago - and here's the final result. I have to say I'm severely enamoured with the ensemble I wore (definitely a need-to-get-together for the coming Spring - please hurry up).

A couple of Styling references for you if you can't read the teeny text:

LP33.3 Shirt - Gat Rimon Bra - Rubi Shoes Boots - David Lawrence Belt - Belle Noel Rings from miijo.com

Thanks very much to the Shop Til You Drop ladies! Make sure you grab a copy at the next happy news stand you stroll on past.

P.S. Last day to enter the Style Yourself giveaway! Hop to it and spread the word :)

All at once.

Quiksilver Shearling Jacket - Dotti Shirt - Somedays Lovin' Printed Shorts - Lorenzi Shoes - Vintage Bag

I have a ridiculous amount of appreciation for this jacket that has far too many elements of perfection to be fair. From the front, it's a solid leather jacket with a fantastic shearling collar, but the back hem scoops down to give a lot more space and therefore, potential for added warmth. This was very much appreciated given that it started sprinkling a little when I snapped these (kind of dorkily excited that the camera caught the little raindrops). Despite the tired face, I have a significant amount of print love for these shorts, on top of the slightly longer length and higher waist, which isn't given enough credit at Bondi (anyone? anyone?).

I don't think I've stopped wearing this shirt for the past 5 days. So much wear. So much versatility.

In other exciting news, I started a little work experience at SBS today and learnt a ridiculous amount to say the least. More to share soon!

Con. Cav Con.

Photobucket

Last Thursday (it really doesn't seem like that long ago) I did a bit of an epic PR sweep of Sydney (no seriously) starting with the lovely Cav Con showroom, which was definitely a bright and wishlist-worthy start to the day. You'll all, no doubt, remember my ravings about Ginger & Smart's fantastic SS11/12 show just before fashion week (if not, you probably need to do some reading HERE to get up to speed :p). Well, seeing those pieces up close is a whole new experience in itself - I hadn't realised that the fantastic fringe happenings on this skirt were actually lines of laser cut poetry (though now that I look at it I feel a bit silly for not seeing it the first time round).

Cav Con just recently got Christopher Esber's incredible pleats in too - which I obsessed over to the point where I couldn't touch them in case their delicate engineering disintegrated. Thankfully, the baby blue and pink (and occasional pop of the most fantastic red) were enough to keep me going visually.

Gorman and Triwa did the best job of gearing me up for Summer (yes half the people I know did just jet off to sunnier locations on the globe... yes I am obscenely jealous). As evident in my outfit goings on this week, I'm quite liking my pops of colour and both Gorman's prints and Triwa's eye-candy function do pretty well in satisfying that!

Thanks so much to the lovely Cav Cons for having me round!

P.S. Pretty exciting giveaway set to go down tomorrow. Watch. This. Space.

Mister Zimi.

Photobucket

The first time I happened upon Mister Zimi's incredible walk of leather, suede and leather again while visiting the lovely ladies of Bespoke PR, I was, needless to say, very much smitten. There's nothing better in Winter than a solid leather dress, intense lasercut details, and floaty printed silk to balance out some perfect badassery of a custom leather jacket - which is essentially where this collection is coming from.

I particularly love the simplicity of the leather pieces, even with various seams and panels. I don't think it was ever a secret that I obsess over all forms of buttery soft leather and suede that I can pet indefinitely.
