I'm currently sitting here, philosophising about the self and illusions and the mind, as you do. Needless to say, I'm feeling ridiculously uninspired by all this and don't particularly like that what I'm reading challenges my existence. :) See? I even speak differently when I'm reading Dennett or whatever.

SO here's some fun inspiration for you all to belatedly kickstart your weekend, because that's the way we rock, that's the way we roll, that's the we do it d-do it do it do it d-d-do it.

Strangest mood :)

Happy Saturday all!

Party hard :)

Grandfather clock.

We all know what a sucker I am for vintage magazines :) I stumbled on these VOGUE scans this morning and wish I owned them in hard copy. The first is from a 1969 VOGUE Paris, and the second, of course, is the lovely Ms Moss in an October 1992 VOGUE Italia editorial.

Feel free to stare for a while :)

Eulogy.

This photo from Naomi Campbell's Haiti Fundraiser made me sad all over again that McQueen is really gone - everyone now fully realises how incredible and fast his mind was, but he isn't around to receive it.

But at the same time, I guess it shows how much even the biggest names in the industry will continue to celebrate his career and innovation.

Also: how cute is Ms Kate :)

Saturday Sugar Rush.

Ageless face. I wish I could see the yellow of the John Galliano coat - I imagine it to be striking.

High Camp.

W Magazine in the very early 90s... can't believe it's been almost 20 years since then!

The sun's back out - I couldn't have tolerated a rainy NYE... which somehow got me thinking: does it have to be an NYE dress? Could it be an NYE top and skirt, or shorts to be extreme :)

Thoughts?

“Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months.” -- Oscar Wilde

Just keeping up with the crowd - the first pair are from the Bulgari 'Save the Children' Auction, and the second pair are from the British Fashion Awards. All of these are my style favourites from those particular events.

Doesn't that floral print just pop?

When Susie wore her dresses tight.

"The shimmering sequin finish of Markus Lupfer's white merino wool mini-dress with black stripes is an evening update to classic Breton style. Team it with black extras for a monochromatic evening look."

This is probably the closest I've gotten to finding this mish-mash of sequins and stripes (aaaah) worn by Kate Moss in an October editorial:

But then again you lose some of the key parts - Balmain-esque shoulders, textured sequins... Kate Moss :)

Agreed?

Because I know you think I'm sweet.

That Kate Moss wore these jackets through the ages in her shoots, I am envious. That first one has everything you'd ever want in a jacket.

"Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels."

She's under a bit of fire for that comment.

But hey, she's Kate Moss. :)

Miss Kate for TOPSHOP UK again - I have to say some of the pieces are slightly interesting... and they seem to like the red lights. A lot.
