And now, the January of Fashion has officially begun with the Mercedes NY Fashion Week now in full swing. So, as always, I shall be keeping y'all up to date with my favourites - how convenient that all the 2010 spring shows are now... just in time for Aussie spring.
So, in the true spirit of summer, let's start with Rosa Chá - Brazilian swim and beachwear. I always love Rosa Chá for the fun colours and patterns, so i was a bit sad there was a slight lack of anything but black and white stripes. The colours, however, came in massive bangles and crazy woven swimsuits.

I really love that if the key piece is skintight, then the accessorising is baggy (love that crazy shirt-dress-kaftan), and vice-versa. And we have to say that the cork-platform heels were a slight win.
The S10 Ports1961 collection, I didn't like. The hair was awkward, the make up was awkward, and the models looked like they were hungover (i.e. ahem make up artists), and sorry, but if the cuts looked like bags on 6 foot tall sticks, then I'm pretty sure the collection isn't going to make Vogue.
But, one lovely photo did come of the Ports1961 show:
