Photos thanks to Dean Hargreaves

I'm fairly sure I've showed you 5001 bits and pieces of the Paper Skye collection I styled/shot/loved at RAFW, but I don't remember showing you the actual runway photos. So, thank you to the super talented (and efficient) Mr Dean Hargreaves, here are some snaps of the stunning collection (if I haven't said it enough). Although it's a while away, I'll definitely keep you all updated on when these babies hit stores (a dance around a change room in some of that chiffon is definitely worth a go).

P.S. thank you all for your sweet emails about my feature in DOLLY Magazine! I'll put up a scan tonight, I promise :)

So. Here's the big news that I've been waiting to share since Wednesday.

You all remember that I shot Paper Skye's beautiful SS11/12 collection over the Easter break (you'll be seeing those final shots in due time, as well as shots from their runway show this Friday afternoon - get excited!).

More importantly: I'm so excited to be styling the Paper Skye show this RAFW! I spent this morning at fittings with (intimidatingly stunning) models and assorted racing-around-with-clipboards-laptops-and-pins people, working out looks with Yan and designer Kirsten - and the above are just a few snaps (and serious sneak-peek-ness) of amazing things to come. On the edges of your seats till Friday, friends.

At the risk of sounding like an idiot, I feel like I'll appreciate the shows and presentations this week that much more, having seen first hand the amount of time and blood/sweat/tears that go into sending one look down a runway.

Needless to say I'm excited out of my mind.

Brace yourselves for a whirlwind week, bloglovers! Stay up to date on Twitter and Facebook :)

P.S. I promise - as soon as this insanity is over, I'll have a giveaway winner to announce!

So we all remember the behind-the-scenes video I posted last week of the shoot I styled, right (HERE for the goldfish :p)? Well, ladies and gentlemen, here are the final shots! My obsession with black and white is a bit heavier than Kent's so you can check out his amazing coloured take HERE.

I'm so happy with the movement and chin-up authority that Zoe (Vivien's Management) managed to communicate. And of course,Kent Johnson's strong photography, and Maria Bravo's equally striking make-up.

Victoria.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Those of you stalking my Twitter will know that I spent the most part of yesterday shooting the insanely beautiful Victoria, assisted by my dear friend Katie. I suppose we could call the day of camera(rrrr) a test - and a super fun one at that. My newfound preoccupation with entangled headgear, floaty fabrics and white eyelashes definitely helped the styling (plus my tendency to pin random pieces of jewellery all over people's heads without notice).

Victoria has this amazingly versatile face that somehow morphs between Emma Watson, Rosie Huntington, Jane Birkin and Angelina Jolie, while still managing to look like herself. It's crazy. I love it.

Note: clicky on the pictures to embiggen them

I have so many more shots I wanted to share, but I'm thinking I'd probably crash all your computers! So for now, they're safely saved away to bust out some time soon.

Victoria is definitely a fresh face and name to watch over the next little while and beyond. Shall keep you posted on this pretty lady!

A few styling references for you:
  • Cristiana Knit rosary
  • La Dama Shoulder Chain as Head Chain
  • Model's own Printed Scarf as Turban

Drums.

Yesterday I had the absolute pleasure of styling a shoot with Sydney photographer, Kent Johnson. My idea was to triablise my favourite pieces that you guys see me wearing from day to day - it's really interesting how wearing something backwards, or as a different garment altogether, can completely transform the mood - speaking of which, I had the time of my life constructing my odd little moodboard in the corner. I should do it for a living. Anyone? Working on make up with the super talented Maria Bravo was, then, an adventure in itself ("I've never drawn in someone's ear before!") and Zoe (Vivien's) did a stellar job - particularly in tolerating my bizarre demonstrations of tribal dance moves. It was also so fantastic having my gorgeous friend Katie on set with me!

I'll be getting the final shots very soon, so get excited!

Hope you enjoyed the little behind the scenes video and shots above! Sorry about the camera-shake - I couldn't bring my tripod, so I was running between doing things, filming moments along the way all day!
