Young Hollywood.

Photobucket

During my interning times with the Stylestalker ladies, we shot the Young Hollywood lookbook with superbabeface Cassi van den Dungen (I'll have behind-the-scenes shots up soon) - all I really remember is sitting next to the clothing rack all day stroking everything in a non-creepy way. Rach and Sue-Ann then proceeded to LA to shoot with similarly superbabeface Alexandra Spencer, and these wonderfully moody/too-cool shots are the result. Needless to say I'm pretty excited to share this 1) because of my pleat and cloud print obsession 2) for my wide legged pants obsession 3) I will never. ever. get enough of cut outs on sleeves, on backs, on legs.

Long story short, the collection definitely needs to be the centrepiece of my wardrobe for the rest of the year. These shots have also gotten me ridiculously excited for LA... even if it is insanely far away.

Another little photo diary for you all, pulled together from snaps I've taken over the past couple of weeks!

  1. My failed attempts at getting my Sprocket Rocket negatives onto my computer (I gave up on scanners and tried snapping them) actually turned out some insane photos. This one's my new desktop image :)
  2. Stylestalker sequinned mirage
  3. Pancakes on the Rocks gluttony with friends on a weeknight dinner. I promise we split it four ways.
  4. Nighttime roaming
  5. Velvet curtains at OneTeaspoon Crown St (more on that later)
  6. Sunsoaking before Sydney weather went downhill
  7. Ok so maybe we split two of them four ways...
  8. Cross-shaped bruises
Just a taste of what's been happening, and what's to come! A Valentines Day giveaway tomorrow :) get excited!!

The Beautiful and The Damned.

SS1_final

For those equally as obsessed, you'll already have drooled everywhere over The Beautiful and The Damned - Stylestalker's latest installment of wardrobe-wanting badassery. First of all, I'm 100% in love with that first skater dress. And every other intern (and probably the entire building) know it.

Margaret: You know what I'm obsessed with in the Beautiful and the Damned?
Everyone else: Yep.

Awkward :)

I also packed about 4000 of the stunning shearling jackets this afternoon and nearly cried from wanting to put one on and maybe-creepily stroke the awesome shearlingness. Shearling has that effect.

Who doesn't love dark glamour? I'm now inclined to wear black smokey eyes daily and drape raw crystals and crucifixes all over myself to fit into this little corner of winter clothing bliss :)

Spaces.

IMG 122colsmall

Last week I had the absolute pleasure of shooting with the talented Miss Ash Myburgh on a wonderfully sunny morning on an equally wonderful empty rooftop.

I had a huge amount of fun jumping around with a serious face - Ash is such a talented photographer with really strong visual concepts. I love the slightly distressed vintage quality the photos ended up holding.

And I'm definitely trying out some of that psycho eyeliner some time down the track :p

Stylestalker Jackal Dress - Market Floppy Hat - SIREN Heels

I've had so many emails about the Stylestalker Jackal dress I posted the other day in khaki... so I couldn't resist jumping around in a floppy hat. And the rose version :) The colour makes me think of English tea time except in a graffitied alleyway that looks out onto Bondi. Clearly the heat has gone to my head.

My accessory count has also dropped lately - last year I was so used to carrying around my entire collection in the bottom of my bag, but now that I'm all organised with things in boxes and trays and yadda-yadda, I don't wear any of it. Solution? Got nothing!

Aside from trying to battle this heatwave (dancing in a tiny studio with broken air-con is not cool) and becoming addicted to Rachel Zoe, I had the absolute pleasure of meeting the lovely Karen Grajwer - Head of International Marketing of Shopbop.com. More on that later, but really: so much inspiration and newfound drive to achieve crazy things!

P.S. my Tweeting is now happening more often (muahaha) and you can never get enough Bloglovin'.

Stylestalker Mirage Tank - YesStyle.com Maxi Skirt - YesStyle.com Bandeau - Zoe Wittner Ursula Wedges - Fredflare Carrie Sunglasses

I wish I could wear these amazing Stylestalker matte sequins every day. For the rest of my life. Katie told me to say that... but in all seriousness: if mesh and sequins were day-time-acceptable on their own, this would be my staple. I've never really thought about combining gold and brown - it's entirely possible that there's an unwritten role against the combination, but I quite like how autumny it feels. Especially with the swishiness of the amazing YesStyle skirt.

See that? As soon as the yucky heat waves come on, I start wishing for Autumn :) And then Winter. I actually kind of wish I were in New York right now, and as soon as I get there, I'll wish I were in the Bahamas.

Katie and I made a Vegan Cheesecake today (thanks to the gorgeous Yasmine from My Purple Grape for the amazing recipe) - keep an eye out on Twitter for photos!

Sneaky. Like a fox.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

You'll all recognise this super hot piece of Desert Fox by the lovely ladies at Stylestalker - Katie helped me out with a few snaps just before the sun disappeared this afternoon. Stylestalker is currently having a pop-up shop down at their office, and tomorrow (Sunday) is the last day! Make sure you come down and visit between 10am and 5pm at Studio 4, 21 Regent St, Redfern, NSW 2016.

I'll be there sporting the knotted awesomeness of this Jackal Dress and party party time in a playlist.

See you there!

P.S. I'm loving all these questions you've all been asking! Keep them coming HERE and I'll have answers up very soon!

Stylestalker Saltbush Top - Junk Clothing Bandage Jeans - Tony Bianco Dodge Boots - La Dama Knit Rosary

So as soon as I start raving about the amazing sunshine, it starts raining. That's right. Karma bites. But that's ok because it was cool (and warm) enough for me to pull out the bandaged glory of these Junk jeans for the afternoon, as well as a desertly, foxly, saltbush top that the Stylestalker ladies lent me to share. Such perfect cut-outtery for elbowing people... and waisting people?

Sorry about the uncharacteristic lack of photos! It started raining the minute I went outside to shoot these so aside from an umbrella-ed walk down the road, my bandage-jeans happiness (the best fitting jeans of my life) didn't last too long. See you in Autumn though? :)

P.S. I spent half the day digging up amazing things at Rozelle markets that I can't wait to share!
