For I have no courage.
Between tasks around the house, Mother kindly went out to DFO with me to have a hunt around that mammoth ring of factory outlets for something that would satisfy my intense need for retail therapy :) Here is the result:
The photos really do not do them a huge amount of justice - they are amazing. Not only in the fact that they were $200 and I got them at this outlet as the last pair for $20 (I KNOW), but also, they give me 4.5 inches of height and they are so ridiculously perfect for Summer and beyond, it's crazy.
Something I was a bit furious about was that I actually found some perfect summer stripes (YES navy and white ones) that, as you know, I've been hunting for since the beginning of NYFW. And they were in what size? Not mine, that's what. And it wasn't a loose cut that could have passed as a baggy fashion statement - no, it was properly cut so try as I might to turn it into an off the shoulder, I failed.
Oh well :) I'm happy for now.

High Po'sh.

Queen VB's collection was just HER in a bottle - without fail, every. single. model. walked like her, stared like her, turned like her. And, I suppose, dressed like her :p Love the clean-cut - always.

Muted Screams.

Burberry Prorsum mastered combinations of details and fabrics, I'll say. And cheekbones :) musn't forget the cheekbones. One thing though: it struck me as an uncanny combination of Balmain and Versace.

J'adore.

I think it necessary to have a rave about the Dior collection. So, not only was the show opened by Karlie Kloss with her classic face on which the red lips (AAH) looked amazing... followed closely by Abbey Lee, but from the beginning, the hair was a statement, the sparkle-mesh socks under platforms was a statement, and there was an established thread of cuts and pairings of fabrics that were suitably... pow? with every single ensemble that walked the runway. And even in that, there was such a range of styles that would appeal to so many different age-groups and fashion-followings, but still maintaining that level of Dior sophistication.

In the wars.

I'm quite enjoying this Bardot dress. I would prefer it if only the back was slashed, but it's crept its way up my to-have list all the same :)

Pretty in Pink.

So as you can see, I failed a little at the pink theme - my nails were pink! and so was my bracelet :) - but my darling Kitface's 18th birthday was quite enjoyable and made me realise that I lack pink in my wardrobe... something that may need to be fixed in the near future.

Thirty Three Degrees.

As much as I love summer, I dread to think how dreadfully hot it's going to be when summer actually gets here. I just about wilted today from the sun - though I suppose it would have been a lot more pleasant at the beach... stupid school.
And so, after a brief shopping visit to the nearest Westfield today, I decided that I really must set a day aside for bikini shopping.

Pucci.

I loved the way the Pucci show was set up across two rooms so that the media and the art of it was all completely separated. The fabrics and the way they suited the models was nothing short of stunning. I also loved the hairstyling and the highly sophisticated colour scheme applied to the designs and the set.
