Earthworm reporting for duty, sir.

Do forgive the party in silver-ring-land. If I were to wear exactly what was happening in this cluttered collage of mine, there'd be a chunky ring on every finger except for my right index, used for pointing accusingly at people who dare raise eyebrows at my amazing socks... which I really do wish I owned!

I've decided that I cannot possibly trudge through this Winter without that Dries Van Noten maxi sweater.

But it doesn't stop there.

I hereby declare that I am going to make that sweater. Shock horror gasp all round. I am so determined to:
  1. own that sweater
  2. find something that can clear my head of work from time to time
that I am going to knit a DVN sweater - ultimate DIY if you ever saw one. And so the challenge begins :) Can anybody give me some pointers? What type of wool is that? Any handy knitting websites, instructions, patterns? Do you think it's just the drape of the sweater that makes the sleeves puff out slightly angularly, or would I have to tighten stitches?

This is getting a bit exciting :D Who's with me?

Awesome way to start the weekend, I thought.

I am, admittedly, feeling a bit crazy this evening - thus the super cluttered collage, weird combinations, and going to town with Forever21 flower hair clips :)

I have to say that I'm so in love with Miu Miu's block heels, especially in this nude colour. I'm also really liking the idea of clear nerd frames - new level of cool nerdom! Though some would argue otherwise for my part, anyway :D Really feeling the white blazer too - I know I know... I keep promising that the blazer hunt will solve itself some day. I tend to fail at these things though!

And yes! I realise my outfits posts haven't happen for about a week now - this needs to change (thank you for your sweet comments/emails reminding me :p). So I hereby promise that I will have one up by the beginning of next week at the absolute latest! Have lots of things to share :D

Speaking of which - WOW: almost 200 followers! And just under a week ago, I was thanking you all for the 150 :O You know I love you all!

One day till the weekend, my friends - hang in there.

P.S. did anyone get my intertextual post title reference :)

How stunning is Lara. I love how they styled with bodycon to show off her figure. I am now so in love with that Gucci and Burberry.

Burberry Prorsum FW10.

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Again with the belated LFW postings :)

I cannot get over the wearability of this Burberry Prorsum collection! Makes me want thigh high boots rather than ankle ones, renewed my search for the blazer, and winter brights.

I also wish I could find a full length photos of what Frida walked in:

How gorgeous is that blue-grey?

Pre-Fall 2010.

I've decided to do just one massive post on my favourite Pre-Fall collections so far. And there's a fair few. Enjoy :)

So first, we have the lovely Zac Posen with the signature red lips and preschooler-meets-fashionable-old-Parisian-lady. Mia Rossing got a fairly good run.

I cannot even begin to tell you how obsessed I am with the Alexander Wang collection. For starters, Liu Wen is so beautiful. Second, I don't think black has ever looked so interesting and wearable. Giles-Deacon-esque sunnies?

Burberry Prorsum: SHOES. And ruffles.

Tango-inspired Carolina Herrera gave, I think, Zac Posen a good run for his money. Patterns were very original and rather authentic. Cuts were a bit reminiscent of last season's Thakoon and Zac Posen again.

Diane Von Furstenberg was very let's-style-stalk-all-the-capital-cities-of-the-world-and-smoosh-them-into-one-outfit-twenty-four-times. I like. :)

The neckplate in every second outfit from Elie Tahari was my life for the 5 mintues it took to flick through the collection. The target audience was obviously a bit older, and more professional, but I wouldn't mind owning the jewellery, the bags and the shoes. And the foil-print dress.

Michael Kors reminded me of Victoria Beckham - not the label: the Queen VB herself with her outrageous coffee break outfits. Loved the waist-zippers though.

The cape from the Narciso Rodriguez (below) has sparked a slight liking for the top-heavy jacket thing happening this Pre-Fall. Not on me though... I'd tip over sideways :)

And now, we finish with "young, confident and drop-dead sexy" inspired, apparently, by night-lights of Tokyo. My head says that it won't be long before those bodycons hit Red Carpets.

Again: SHOES.

Alors, ceci conclut la liste de préférés de Pre-Fall 2010.

A beau jour.

Kind on the eye.

Just some shoesies I really (really) wouldn't mind owning. Mark my words - some day they will be on my (currently non-existent) shoe wall.
