The buzzard thought.

After Sara showed me this shot of Lara Bingle cruising around Sydney this afternoon, I was a bit inspired to mash up these wonderfully tortoise-shelled RetroSuperFuture sunnies with my new obsession with the Fendi SS11 makeup - Peter Phillips is god.

I'm also loving the wonderful print on these pants too - immediately open to mixing with other textures (namely the equally wonderful fringes of the clutch). Now that I'm looking at this collage, it looks pretty incoherent in the way I've arranged it all, but really if you picture it on some runway-stomping girl with a topknot bun of slightly frizzy hair, then you're on the right track. If not, I suggest you buy me everything pictured so I can show you :)

I guess I am a little behind the Acne eight ball in obsessing about these wedge boots now, but I really don't think they were obsessed about in the right context when the were being universally obsessed about earlier this year (if you can make any sense of that sentence, tell me and I'll do a victory dance). They look so much edgier with trousers like these, or tapered ones. Or pegleg ones. If you just wear them with a Little Black Dress, it's just like... black dress with cool shoes. I prefer WOW TROUSERS with WOW ATACOMAS.

I'm clearly very tired.

Off I go to sleep!

P.S. US and Canada lovelies, don't forget about the GIVEAWAY!

P.P.S. we the LG Bloggers have been very busy over at the LG Voice of Fashion Blog! So check out what we're screaming about HERE.

Trigonal Planar.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Leola Zipper Leather Tote - Cotton On Carly Crop Top - Low Luv by Erin Wasson Aztec Ring - Fashionology Silver Claw Ring - Low Luv by Erin Wasson Crater Bangle - Therapy Crossfire Boots - Low Luv by Erin Wasson Faceted Boulder Ring - Forever21 Chain Fringe Triangle Scarf - Agent99 Chain and Chain Neck - Acne Coral Silk Tie-dye Shorts

Feeling very flat today. Not boring-flat - just *flat-hand-gesture*-flat. So let's go monochrome and silver, shall we? I'm hoping that those boots will soon be the new loves of my life, as well as those Acne shorts over a much longer time frame. I think my love for Low Luv by Erin Wasson is pretty evident - it all speaks for itself. I mean, it's Erin Wasson. And Low Luv. :)

This week has had me absolutely exhausted, drained and all those grey, doldrums-y words that make you want to eat kids' picture books to trigger some form of non-work-related brain activity. But hey, it's FRIDAY.

What are all your plans for the weekends?

Mine are to:
  1. Hunt down those boots
  2. Work on some alterations of vintage pieces I've found (shall definitely share)
  3. Do a heap of work that's due soon
  4. Eat a square of 85% cocoa dark chocolate (it's actually very challenging)
  5. Find Polaroid (type 600) film that doesn't cost $500 million

For want of Jumble.

Just some I've-got-my-eyes-set-ons. Except for the blazer: If TOPSHOP would kindly give me the print that I could fashion into anything I'd like, then I'm happy OR if they kindly gave me that blazer cut in black... I am also happy. The tapered pants, I have been thinking about - making, not buying. I recently got handed a few old suit sets that my father no longer wanted, so I'm considering turning the pants into high-waisted tapered trousers. And the shoulders of the jackets need altering so I don't look like Frankenstein.

Most importantly: new fascination with magazine clutches! Basically an oversized clutch that isn't all floppy and dead, and will pretty much fit about 2 Vogues... maybe 3. Like a laptop case, but cooler.

I've been on the hunt for the perfect New Year's dress, and wound up, as always, on the AcneStudios website. The cautionary 'tulle not included' on each dress gave me the idea of, perhaps, not buying a new dress, but adding some fun to an existing one with a tulle underskirt.

Thoughts?

Put your foot down.

How beautiful are these Marc Jacobs wellingtons? They're so shiny, though, that if I ever had them (sigh) I'd leave them on my desk and stare at them all day and never wear them out in case they got scratched.

And on that Net-a-porter note, I nearly died when I realised that they stock the leather Atacoma wedges by Acne:

They remind me of the pretty grey nail colour by Chanel.

Take my fancy.

Would you take a look at Acne's latest $2000 jeans - so the minute everyone agrees that $300 is too much to splurge on a pair of best friends, Acne goes hey hey let's release these silver (yes silver) plated babies. Alongside these is tie-dyed denim covered in Swarovski crystals...

Dress Print.

I find this Acne design very fun :) Especially the front panel where halfway down, it says "BLA BLA". I laughed a little.
