In my haste to get through my uni week (so the exciting projects starting at the end will get here faster), I completely forgot to share snaps of what I wore to the FOREVER NEW Spring Launch last week. I don't think the leather-chiffon combination will ever fail me - neither will the fantastic colour of this Mister Zimi jacket and the eternal vibrancy of my favourite vintage skirt. I've said it 500 times and I'l make it 1000 - best spent $7 of my life. And thank you dear Jasmin for taking these for me!

How has everyone's week been so far? Not going to lie - I feel like my eyes are about to fall out (classy). Definitely skipping my usual morning run tomorrow!

Lipsy London x MYER x Shine By Three.

I'm fairly excited to share the news that Lipsy London is landing in 67 MYER stores and on the MYER Miss Shop site this weekend. In celebration of this (yes, I'm celebrating), I was asked to self-shot three of my favourite Lipsy pieces to share with you all, so here they are.

I absolutely adore the cuts of these three pieces - the lace dress is really quite something (may have to get myself to a MYER on Sunday and bar anyone else from touching it).

Sadly, I'm not in a terrible good position with words tonight (post-exam exhaustion has come back and hit me hard in the back of the head), but I thought I'd share what I wore tonight to the launch of NIKKINC - which I'll be telling you more about later. I'm sorry that the overexposure doesn't quite show you the colour of the pants and belt (which are both, by the way, now my favourite combination ever) - and I don't think any camera ever will. But if you can visualise that colour-pop awesome of coral, teal and burgundy, then you're getting close.

So aside from me pulling out my favourite pile of tulle from Bardot that hasn't be subject to my twirling for a while, I thought (in the spirit of taking of photos of what one is wearing) you'd like to know about the little Street Style competition Bardot is running where you could win a $500 voucher and star in the next Bardot email newsletter, just by snapping yourself in your favourite Bardot before June 8th. On a slightly different note, who's feeling the Wednesday-Addams-had-a-baby-with-neon-nails-on-an-American-roadtrip vibe? I made that up. As you may have gleaned from my excited Tweet (and happy photo), I finally found the perfect not-red-in-disguise dark lipstick to wear like a boss for the entirety of winter. I should have known that YSL would be the solution - there were oh so many failed attempts with others.

On top of all that, I'm very much obsessed with my Romwe Knit. As are most people who happen to be around on a cold day, I promise, it fits multiple people in some wonderful bubble of warmth - but with enough of a plunging neck to button collared shirts all the way up like a raging hipster.






I'll have to take a proper photo of my new nail polish before it runs out (I'm working through it so fast - good thing it's $2 from Chinatown).

Given my shameless declaration of love to Tato&Memi's beautful red-rust shade in my post yesterday, I thought I'd take the chance to have a bit of a dream about winter, heavier coats, and a fully terracotta-ed ensemble that's a milder step away from the engine red that has been floating around international fashion weeks, but a bold step up from serious global camel saturation.

All with sea salt sprayed tresses and a ticket to stand in some conspicuous area where you know Mr Newton and Tommy Ton will be happily stalking.

Win.

But seriously. I will have this outfit.

My this-Winter fetish for open-weave knits is no secret. I am obsessed with the idea of throwing one over anything pretty, basic, vintage, overdressed or less-than-decent, and then accessorising to the living hell and back with no clue for what exactly I'm doing (aside from the splash of colour).

But: Kimberly Ovitz's price impracticalities aside, I'm opting for this, this, and this - I have to say, that last Wrangler one is giving me so much grief... get that one or potentially get both the others? This is ridiculously difficult. Thoughts?

Manikinn.com: Shereen Nimbalker.

I decided last week that it cannot possibly be healthy that so many incredible pieces are available to us at, literally, the click of a button 24/7. But, thankfully, the lovely Ms Shereen Nimbalker, Director of Manikinn.com, has changed my mind. Yet again. They always win! :)

I spoke to Shereen about what she and Manikinn are all about:

How did Manikinn start out?

Manikinn.com is an Australian Online Fashion Boutique created by Shereen Nimbalker in 2008. It started out to create easier shopping for the busy, fashion conscious, young female. Manikinn.com takes all the hard work out for you and you are rewarded with trendy, up -to-date, top quality fashion.

What kind of work goes into releasing one product?
Trend sourcing comes first, so attending parades, trend casting and so on. After we have come up with a decision on what we would like to feature on Manikinn.com, we source the product, which means going on buying trips. We source our range from quality wholesalers from the USA and Europe.

To release the product, we do a fashion shoot- from the models through to photographer, to capture the product. We then release the product onto our website, facebook and twitter pages. We work closely with our PR agency to market our product. We update all of our client base on our new range.

What would you say is your greatest influence at the moment?
My influences are always about what is happening in my life. At the moment I would say my greatest influence is the Couture Fashion Show that took place in Paris in 2010. I was there at this time and the atmosphere at the shows and in the city was electric! This is reflected in the new range, which has a parisian theme and is also a bit edgy and supersonic!

What are your plans for 2010?
My plans for 2010 are more buying trips to expand the manikinn range and expand the range to wholesalers. Also to grow the manikinnbrides.com, which is our new site for bridal wear.

Who would you say is the most significant style icon at the moment?
At the moment I would say Olivia Palermo. She has a natural flair in mixing and matching fabrics, adding the right amount of sparkle and dimension to an outfit. She has a knack for looking great in anything she puts on without a doubt!

What changes do you see happening in the international fashion industry in the near future?
I see the international fashion industry taking on quite a dramatic change concentrating more on shapes and forms rather than adornments. So a lot of innovative design concentrating on the shapes of the clothes rather than their smaller details. Rich hues of colour will be emerging, all presenting the exciting world of the modern young woman, a hint of exotic chic.

So we all know I don't make a secret of my love for statement rings... particularly ones with amazingly coloured stones that will be rotated from outfit to outfit until the only solution to the vicious cycle is to wear them all at the same time, and have strangers part at a 2 metre radius for fear of being cracked across the nose with these babies :)

Just some I've-got-my-eyes-set-ons. Except for the blazer: If TOPSHOP would kindly give me the print that I could fashion into anything I'd like, then I'm happy OR if they kindly gave me that blazer cut in black... I am also happy. The tapered pants, I have been thinking about - making, not buying. I recently got handed a few old suit sets that my father no longer wanted, so I'm considering turning the pants into high-waisted tapered trousers. And the shoulders of the jackets need altering so I don't look like Frankenstein.

Most importantly: new fascination with magazine clutches! Basically an oversized clutch that isn't all floppy and dead, and will pretty much fit about 2 Vogues... maybe 3. Like a laptop case, but cooler.
