LOMOGRAPHY x Shine By Three.

So: I'm finally able to share this exciting project I've been working on in collaboration with LOMOGRAPHY (your favourite film photography go-to)! Over the next couple of weeks I'll be styling up my favourite Lomography pieces with bits of my own wardrobe and this is just a bit of a preview - a bit of fun to wrap up the weekend and start the week (yes, I start uni again this week... mega-sigh).

Be sure to keep your eyes peeled on the Facebook Page and on Twitter!

Barely there.

Barely there

From left to right: Agent99 Necklace Scarf - Dannijo Jacinda Silver-plated Ring - Basic Black Rosary - Marcus Lupfer Sheer Beaded Leggings - Ray-Ban Large Wayfarer Acetate Sunglasses - Kimberly Ovitz Lester Faux-suede Crochet-knit Sweater - Givenchy Ruched Leather Wedge Sandals - Stella McCartney Dolly Snogging Lace Bra - Donna Karan The Eldrige 4 in 1 Leather Bag - Yves Saint Laurent New Arty Necklace

My this-Winter fetish for open-weave knits is no secret. I am obsessed with the idea of throwing one over anything pretty, basic, vintage, overdressed or less-than-decent, and then accessorising to the living hell and back with no clue for what exactly I'm doing (aside from the splash of colour).

But: Kimberly Ovitz's price impracticalities aside, I'm opting for this, this, and this - I have to say, that last Wrangler one is giving me so much grief... get that one or potentially get both the others? This is ridiculously difficult. Thoughts?

Hope everyone's having a good weekend! Lots of exciting things to come this week :) and when I say exciting... I'm talking exciting.

Givenchy Spring Couture 2010.

Givenchy's details, dare I say it, were as good as Chanel's if not better. The layers, colours, cuts and fabrics - amazing. I love this season's look at gradients - shall have to invest in some :)

P.S. Blogger was messing with the quality of my images :) So I pulled one of my sideways tricks again.

Oh, I'm thinking about those younger years.

I love that Anna Wintour decided to throw in something purely fun (with a twist of... Sasha Pivovarova). This editorial makes me want to buy all the featured artists' music, put it on surround sound, set to work with a seamstress mannequin (don't own one) and a sewing machine (do own one), and come out the other end with something distantly related to everything Sasha's wearing.

Cruella.

Givenchy - as foreboding as always. After a while, I figured out it was because all the models' eyebrows were blanked out and their eye sockets were shadowed to excess. Quite effective.

The shoes and some of the draping was very similar to Versace, but I don't think anyone can pull off pretty-ugly-furious quite like Givenchy.

Star-studded with squares.

Was browsing Urban Originals. I am hereby inspired to find a pair of vintage denim somethings, an old leather tote, and an unused blazer, then buy a massive bag of studs and be-stud everything individually.

Or, I could ditch the tote and buy the above for $100 odd. The white, especially, looks ridiculously Givenchy. So either way, I will have new or old Givenchy... in theory :)

Growing on me.

When I wrote about all the Fall 09 Couture shows, I didn't mention Givenchy. At the time, the collection really didn't do much for me - cuts weren't hugely flattering, even on 6 foot tall models, rings looked like they were prepping for a fist-fight, and flicking through reminded me of Star Wars with a bit of Princess Leia on the side.

BUT the other day I was speaking to a friend who was actually there (the lucky girl) and she'd printed some close-up snaps she'd taken with her enviable camera. And I will hand it to Givenchy: attention to detail is ridiculously, meticulously perfect.

So naturally, I went back and looked through runway shots again :) And although I still don't like the whole severity of a lot of the collection, the embellishment (above :O) is nothing short of amazing.

Intense Shoe Envy.

Jak&Jil really isn't a healthy past-time.
