Louis Vuitton FW10.

Is anyone besotted with elbow length leather gloves? And that leather skirt - so shiny. The LV monogram on those clutches are so gorgeous as well. I quite liked how muted the whole collection was from afar but, zooming in, you see all this insane little details that give this nicely balanced, aesthetically pleasing look.

What a star casting :O

It's not too often that one picture is enough for a day's worth of inspiration.

It was always going to be true.

Dearest Louis Vuitton,

I would walk around all winter in your monogram tights and oversized tops/sweaters/blazers/knits.

That is all.

Sincerely yours,

Margaret.

:) Even without LV monograms - I am totally running around in patterned tights and the apparel stated above this coming winter.

Keeping up.

I had a whole lot of unshared Pre-fall collections lurking on my desktop that I hadn't posted yet *gasp shock horror* So now you get to enjoy them :)

Balenciaga: the most perfect shade of yellow of all time (on the most perfect coat of all time). I also rather enjoyed the cut of the skirts, and the (bee-keeper's) gloves.

ADAM may as well take any of my future life savings and give me blazers in return... because we all know about my continuously unsuccessful hunts for blazers. So as much as we all love Adam Lippe for his jewel-tone slouch tees, I do appreciate bubble skirts, dresses with pockets... and blazers.

Thank you Giorgio Armani for not directing models to look like they are standing in Aisle 4 of Walmart... on a shelf :) Amazing cuts and gloves. I'm also sure that the models appreciate the break from outrageous footwear.

Just two for Cavalli because otherwise I'd have to post the entire collection and you'd all die of awesome:

Louis Vuitton - I swear you stole the felt-marker-esque outlined-creases idea from a Daphne Guiness editorial from last year! Or maybe you styled that shoot - I don't know. But if it was a sneaky reference, then I saw it (and like it very much)

And finally:

Dearest Lanvin,

Please reconstruct your amazing set in the corner of my bedroom. You may leave the furs, gloves, hooded cloaks, boots, tights and headscarves by the door, as well as an explanation as to why Elsa Sylvan is so very amazing.

Best Regards,

Margaret Zhang.

Avante que le sur...

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Just some incredibility to sustain you all for the next two days - I'm going down the coast for that time, and won't have access to any form of communication electronics... as the relaxation goes, I guess. :)

However, I will be taking my Canon 7D (slight effort, but hopefully worth it), and there are some beautiful places that will definitely be photographed, as well as great weather forecasts and my brand new floppy straw hat and canvas lace-ups.

Ciao till then!

The Sky is falling down.

Quite the opposite of the weather we're having at the moment - 35 degree heat and double the humidity is not fun.

On a slightly different note: my darling friend Mel is off to London for a month soon (jealous), and I have assigned her the task of buying me the coolest tights alive. By her taste - which is rather good, if I may say so.

I mentioned this because those LV monogram tights kill me a little bit inside. Good killing. Not bad.

Mais oui, Bonjour.

And yes, or and no? The 6.5'' Louis Vuitton pump wedges. Thoughts?

Empowering.

Photobucket

Those are the most amazing shoes ever. I'm thinking they're the Louis Vuitton wedges. They remind me of some gorgeous wedges I saw some time ago, but were too uncomfortable in my size... it didn't occur to me at the time to size up for comfort... might go there :)

I heard it on the grapevine.

The Olsen Twins at the Shibuya Opening ceremony - ever flawlessly stylish. I dream of the day I am free to borrow from their explosive wardrobes:
  1. THE EARS
  2. The shoes
  3. The embellished clutches
  4. Carefully styled simplicity

It's real.

Louis Vuitton. So apart from the fact that every single 6 foot tall model was dwarfed by their weight (maybe twice their weight) in human hair afros and a similarly sized backpack/book bag, the LV show was very cute. It was, however, a slight struggle to focus on the clothes and not analyse whether or not the hair looked real on the model. I loved the pink dusted across their noses, and a lot of the dresses were, in fact, quite wearable.

Black and shiny.

Something of a new fascination with ruched leather.
