Invisible stripes.

AL&ALICIA Blazer - Somedays Lovin' Cropped Tank - ANISE Tribal Bones Pants - Tony Bianco Dodge Boots - Rebecca Minkoff M.A.C Clutch

A super fast post to share what I had to throw on super fast this afternoon to substitute a friend who was meant to be substituting his mum at a parent event of his sister's. In short, I ended up making conversation with people old enough to be my parents. And people thought I had a child when I was 10. It was awkward.

But at least my favourite visual-kapow clutch was cooler than theirs :) In hindsight, I quite enjoy how the stripes in the tank sort of mirror the fishbone tie-dye in these super awesome pants that will hit Autumn so hard once it's no longer 35 celcius (yeah there was no air-con - I suffered a little).

Despite their age, I still got compliments on my beloved Tony Bianco shoesies!

Speaking of which, I stopped in at the SENSO warehouse sale... and check out the babies I bagged HERE!

OM NOM NOM. So excited to break them in.

Shades of Black.

ANISE Rubble Trubble Tank in Black - YesStyle.com Bandeau - YesStyle.com Draped Harems - Tony Bianco Dodge Boots in Ash Suede

I managed to steal a friend's camera for the afternoon to happy snap this super sparkly tank for your enjoyment (despite the shocking overcast weather today). I quite like the slight girliness and insane texture it adds to my boyish harems. Do boys wear harems? They should. They're that breezy and comfortable.

Is it bad that as soon as the weather gets a bit Autumn-y, I autopilot to black? Although sequins are a good start to crazy cold-weather-wear this year.

Disclaimer: final headbang is not for any artistic purpose... just something I've always wanted to do :)

P.S. I'm feeling some shoe-shopping coming on. Who'd like to point me in the right direction?

Spaces.

IMG 122colsmall

Last week I had the absolute pleasure of shooting with the talented Miss Ash Myburgh on a wonderfully sunny morning on an equally wonderful empty rooftop.

I had a huge amount of fun jumping around with a serious face - Ash is such a talented photographer with really strong visual concepts. I love the slightly distressed vintage quality the photos ended up holding.

And I'm definitely trying out some of that psycho eyeliner some time down the track :p

Covet Vintage Co. Silk Shirt - ANISE Maxi Dress as Skirt - ASOS Boyfriend Belt - Zoe Wittner Ursula Wedges

I got my mum to take some quick snaps of my hilariously pointless use of my ASOS belt that I haven't taken off since I got it last week - I have to say I'm in love with the weird loopy knot thing (if anyone even knows what I'm talking about :D). I had just been at the Bespoke PR showroom and met the wonderful girls there - I have some awesome photos to share with you all tomorrow, and despite my sleepy facial expression in Photo #1, I'm pretty excited :)

In the mean time, we can rest assured that I'll be living in this beloved Covet vintage shirt for the rest of summer, and that this new ensemble might be a bit of a favourite.

I didn't get a huge amount of sleep last night, so off I go to snooze it all back - my body clock is supremely out of whack!

ANISE Macrame Tank - SCANLAN & THEODORE Highwaisted trousers - Tony Bianco Ash Suede Dodge Boots - LimeCrime Lipstick in My Beautiful Rocket

I've been waiting for the sun to come out for days to wear this beautiful ANISE top (thanks to the lovely Sophie!), because I absolutely refused to wear something so stunning in overcast weather. But of course, Sydney clouds hate me, so warm evenings before dinner are the next best thing. Don't you worry though - there will be plenty of sunny photos of this beautiful top floating around in Summery happiness in due time! When I go to put this top on, I always stare at the amazing knot-and-weave work for a good while and a half - it is actually mesmerising! And so perfect for the hot days that are coming up fast - as is the rest of the ANISE collection... if I haven't emphasised enough already.

To make this more dinner-appropriate, though, were the incredibly high waist of these beautiful SCANLAN & THEODORE pants that the beautiful Jes of HARLEQUIN'S PARTY so sweetly sent me (I love you! They are. Amazing). The waist makes for, as you can see, a pretty fun half-tucked-in sort of fun, which will probably come in handy when I start wearing them to death. I've always had a soft spot for high waists, but I never thought I'd love something so close to being bell-bottomed so much!

And I'm not sure if the colour has come through very well in these shots, but a burst of orange in my beloved Limecrime lipstick went so well with it all (have I told you before how durable this lipstick is? I swear none of it came off during dinner). I've decided that as long as it doesn't melt off my face during Summer (doesn't look like it will), I'll be wearing my Limecrime lip colours a lot more often! So keep a look out.

ANISE Maxi Dress - None the Richer Chain Headpiece - Night Market Rings - Rubi Lucy Boots

A couple days ago, I swooned over ANISE's new collection... and the lovely Miss Sophie was sweet enough to lend me some samples to shoot for you guys! This one is probably the most comfortable maxi dress I have ever tried on in my life - and the most gorgeous. Given my love of the khaki and brushed brass, the super soft cotton and cut (and awesome harness belt) falls nothing short of perfect. And just above the ground when I'm wearing my favourite boots, it seems!

So it was quite convenient that my hippie headpiece and assorted flea market rings went perfectly with it all. As did the little eyelets on my boots. But only I notice that silly sort of thing :D

Observation 1: my arms look freakishly skinny in these photos - they really aren't this little in person. I swear.

Observation 2: I'm pulling some really odd facial expressions.... please ignore.

Observation 3: more of a declaration - the giant cactus that you see ever so faintly in the background is my next door neighbour's and has quintupled in size since I was little. One of these days, I'll get past looking weird, and then I'll sneak up and take a photo. Because it really. Is. An awesome. Cactus.

Thank you Sophie for lending this beautiful piece of awesome to me! Swish swish.

I got an email today saying that I had the same profile silhouette as Rumi Neely. And that was all. Except that she, Elisa, would like a shoutout: helloooooo! - I shall take that as a compliment.

ANISE.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

It is entirely possible that I squealed (such an unattractive word) at my laptop when the lovely Sophie from ANISE sent these shots through from the latest collection. There is something fantastically serene about them all that really sets off the Summery colours, incredible cuts (sweetheart necklines - I love you) and a slightly whimsical field-frolicker in us all. Don't lie. I know you're in there somewhere :)

How beautiful are the flowers in her hair? Pledge to the world: I will do that and make daisy chains every day of the Summer. Disclaimer: this may not happen (but I will take one photo of it in action and pretend it did).
