Bubble-bursting.

DITA Clear Frames - RIMMEL London Lipstick - Events Blazer - Vintage Blouse - LadyLovesGreen Leather trousers - Therapy Tower Heels in Taupe - Rebecca Minkoff MAC Clutch

It was an absolute pleasure to meet the sweet and ever boldly style-comfortable Susie Bubble over the entirety of RAFW. I'm always so terribly dorky (and ever so slightly starstruck) with people I look up to, but it was so lovely to have quick chats here and there with Susie (who was running around OPT like a crazy lady all week!) and seeing her views and approaches to designers and style is a mishmash of art and creativity in action.

This snap was after Sara Phillips SS11/12 (of which I'll have snaps up soon), and conveniently, here are some quick shots of what I wore that day.

These leather pants (from fantasitc Etsy seller LadyLovesGreen) were a perfect fit, a perfect colour, perfect warmth for a bit of a windy day, and so perfectly timed (thank you Ruth!) that it wasn't even funny. I quite enjoy the leather-on-leather that's going on with my infallible Rebecca Minkoff MAC Clutch, and combined with these perfect Therapy block heels (which were definitely my favourite Therapy shoe of the week), drew almost as much attention as wonderfully geeky clear frames and BAM lips. I'm all about a block heel at the moment, and taupe suede is definitely the right way to do it.

The equally sweet and humble Phil Oh (Mr Streetpeeper) also snapped me in that ensemble earlier that morning for Harper's Bazaar's coverage of RAFW:

Thank you all for bearing with me on the blogging! Getting back into the Uni rhythm has definitely been a bit of a rocky road. I promise to get back onto all your emails and questions and sweet comments super soon!

MINKPINK Hopeless Romantic Shift Dress from Market HQ - AL&ALICIA Blazer - Rebecca Minkoff MAC Clutch - Pratten Cuff from Just Gorgeous Gifts Lomography Sprocket Rocket Camera

I almost forgot to share what I wore to the fantastic PayPal Cashless Utopia event I ran along to last Thursday night - at this point I'm so glad I don't own an iPhone! The new Paypal app allows you to literally shop from anywhere, split restaurant bills, and all the rest of it (one of those far-too-tempting things :D).

It's interesting that the least form-fitting and most high-necked dress I now own (holler at MINKPINK over at Market HQ) has received the most compliments I've had from a dress in a long time. Aside from my favourite greys, I think green and orange/red/coral is probably the best colour combination of all time - particularly in the case of my favourite Rebecca Minkoff and stunning eel-skin cuff from Just Gorgeous Gifts. Different leather textures are the greatest plus-sign of the century. (Be sure to check out my page of favourites at JGG too - right HERE)

P.P.S. Here we goooo, come with meeee, there's a woooorld out there that we should see, tra la laaaa (this had been stuck in my head all day - had to get it out of my system)

Aside from being insanely busy and exhausted with O-week (uni lectures start on Monday!), my sharing of New York runway favourites is mainly because I'm currently planning to make the globe-trek out there this time next year! And I like pretending that I was at this season's NYFW... to get me excessively excited for FW12/13.

But I shouldn't say that should I. I'll jinx it :)

I find that NY runways always go furthest in inspiring my actually wardrobe and kicking my personal taste around corners. I'm really enjoying this over-sized housecoat business, made street-wearable in khakis, cobalt blues and yellows, plus the patterns. Sadly, Mr Paul Smith, I don't think Sydney winters will allow an amazing polkadot blazer under and enormous pet-able coat. But once in Central Park, we can talk.

I'm also pretty happy to see that capes, sheers, pleated sheers, coloured sheers, (coloured pleated sheers) and printed maxi's haven't gone anywhere. I'm reasonably in love with that Rebecca Minkoff one in particular - a new leaning towards asymmetric hems is happily welcomed in my ickle wardrobe!

I also loved The Lake & Stars and NAHM, but I couldn't find pretty pictures big enough to post :(

So much money to be saved. So many fingers to be crossed.

Invisible stripes.

AL&ALICIA Blazer - Somedays Lovin' Cropped Tank - ANISE Tribal Bones Pants - Tony Bianco Dodge Boots - Rebecca Minkoff M.A.C Clutch

A super fast post to share what I had to throw on super fast this afternoon to substitute a friend who was meant to be substituting his mum at a parent event of his sister's. In short, I ended up making conversation with people old enough to be my parents. And people thought I had a child when I was 10. It was awkward.

But at least my favourite visual-kapow clutch was cooler than theirs :) In hindsight, I quite enjoy how the stripes in the tank sort of mirror the fishbone tie-dye in these super awesome pants that will hit Autumn so hard once it's no longer 35 celcius (yeah there was no air-con - I suffered a little).

Despite their age, I still got compliments on my beloved Tony Bianco shoesies!

Speaking of which, I stopped in at the SENSO warehouse sale... and check out the babies I bagged HERE!

OM NOM NOM. So excited to break them in.

A world oh so small.

Junk Clothing Lace Dress - Rebecca Minkoff Alligator MAC Clutch - Tony Bianco Dodge Boots in Ash Suede - Limecrime Retrofuturist Lip Colour

For the first time ages I tried doing my hair in a dressed up bun - I quite enjoy that it makes it look like a lopped off all my hair :)

Is it normal that I've been to 500 million tea parties in the past couple of weeks? So many florals and full skirts! No bright lipstick until today though - I had to awkwardly avoid white porcelain and look like a plastic woman while eating odd flavoured macaroons.

This amazing clutch thanks to the gorgeous Rebecca Minkoff team is now my day-and-night staple for the intensely teal alligatored leather, and beautifully contrasted gold hardware. I hadn't realised how wonderfully bright the bag was until I unwrapped it this morning and decided on red lipstick. Who hearts opposite colours? More and more I've been gravitating towards colour palettes that nobody necessarily visualises, but somehow work once on.

Also, don't forget to check out my guest posts for Rebecca at Minkette.com!

Having read all this, I realise that none of it makes sense - my brain is too scattered today (mainly because I fail at driving)! What have we all been doing this week?

P.S. spreading some love through Twitter and Bloglovin'!

P.P.S. Yay Spring/Summer! Check out that Jacaranda tree.

Minkettes and associated fun-times.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I know - my post title is shamefully unoriginal. But hopefully your enjoyment of my odd little annotations will make up for that? I'm so excited to announce that Rebecca Minkoff and her gorgeous team have asked me to be the November Guest Blogger on Ms Minkoff's equally gorgeous blog - Minkette.com. Rebecca was recently accepted into CFDA and rightly so! I am so in love with her classic deisgn work, so it's such an honour to be blogging for her!

Check out the guest post HERE and some of Rebecca's amazing bags and apparel HERE!

Be sure to keep an eye out for others to come from both Rebecca and myself.

And now for the fun times:

Get to it all of you here in Aus! What better way to celebrate general awesomeness than with connies and BDO tickets?

Hope you're all well :) And happy November!

P.S. outfit post from today in a few hours, I'd say.
